Wagon running gear & WD questions

Postby Schst1918 » Fri Mar 05, 2021 5:57 pm

1. I have a wagon running gear with spoke rims. One of the rims has rusted thru. Can that rim be repaired? Patched?
Is there somewhere to get replacement spoke rims? Hate to junk the running gear.
2. Is there a kit to add power steering to my WD All Is?

Maybe the rim can be patched.

There are several power steering units for tractors, WD included. Expensive, costs as much or more than as another WD.

cut bad rim off the spokes and weld on a different one ----dont that here before.
look for a Char-Lynn unit for the WD --- got one on mine ---- not hard to put on, works like new, BUT to put ANY ps on them you have to find a crankshaft pulley with the extra groove in it to drive the ps pump unless you can figure out some other way to drive it.
The pulleys are costly and hard to find.
