That sounds like a huge collective knowledge base of an unstoppable repair force! does everyone bring a tractor? I have no way to transport mine, but I'd like to just go and watch and learn. Is that well enough?
Come watch and learn, that’s what I’ve been doing . My wife Paula loves just coming to meet people, talk and soak it all in.
Some of the most decent people you’d ever want to meet! It’s worth the trip for that alone.
I may even bring a small (hopefully ) project this time.

If anyone has a magneto or distributor that needs work bring it and we will do a little seminar. Same with carbs, touch controls etc.

Dogoneit , it looks like we wont be heading to your fest cecil . my boat ( a Higgins ) was selected to show in the madisonville wooden boat show ( boats come from around the world to participate , the WWII PT boat that was restored in new orleans will be there this year , the 30th anniversary of the festival ) and of course its the SAME WEEKEND . we have been wanting to take it there for some time , i always missed the deadline for consideration . we were looking forward to meeting donnegalcub , both my wifes parents family came from ireland . anyway , thank you for the invitation , we'll have to wait till next year . I had to flip a coin to decide . coppersmythe....................

yes , i actually met the son of the man who was one of the hull designer/architects for higgins . his father used to take him out on lake ponchatrain to do sea trials on the different boats for the war . he came by monday with his wife and daughter and son-in-law to check out the boat . they almost bought it . shes a beauty , estimated 200-250 left . i talked to the director of the maritime museum in madisonville yesterday ( amazing ) , he said it cost about $3000 to bring the restored PT boat from new orleans to madisonville , but it will be there . they are going to try to put my "baby PT " close to it coppersmythe..........................Don McCombs wrote:Val,
