Man was driving down a street when a cat darted out and he could not avoid hitting it. Stopping to examine the carcass, he saw a collar but the collar had no identification. So he went to the nearest house and knocked on the door. A little old lady opened the door. He was standing by coincidence exactly blocking her view of the cat in the street. Describing the cat, he explained that hitting it was absolutely unavoidable. Realizing that she could not see it, he moved to the side and she screamed. "My precious baby, my best friend and companion, whatever will I do now?"
The man said: "I'll be glad to replace the cat".
"Don't you flatter yourself, mister!"
