I made a little time for this

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

I made a little time for this

Postby Barnyard » Wed May 07, 2014 4:19 pm

I had a couple picnic tables listed on Craigslist and a guy stopped by to get one. He then asked if I could make two more for him to pick up in June. Since I am swamped with trying to get the garden in as well as get ready for the Bash I told him June would be best. Then he asked if I made swings. I showed him the picture of the one I build and he said he wanted one. I said that would be no problem to have ready in June also. Nope, that wasn't gonna work. He needed it for Mother's Day. That was pushing my schedule a little tight, but I couldn't resist getting some thing done for a mother. I will try to work on my resistance a little harder next time. He was happy that I had it done in time.

Bill, now that you're retired -- how did you ever find time to hold down a job? Good looking swing.

Looks like you did a good job! I know your friend's mother will be pleased.

Will your friend put a finish on the swing or leave it natural?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Stanton, I don't know how he will stain or paint it. The guy just answered an ad I had on Craigslist for something else and asked if I built swings. He said he needed it for his wife as a mother's Day gift.

Yeah, a big wood working shop would be nice to have all the tools handy.
