Ampco grain mill

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Ampco grain mill

Hi all! Here's a project I finished up not long ago. I mated an AMPCO burr mill to a modified factory cart. The cart was painted white when I got it but as I started peeling paint off I noticed the original text was still on it. I built a new top from birch, installed an electric motor with a Boston Gear reduction on it and mounted the burr mill to it. I completely stripped the paint on everything and added a bit of pin striping too. We are moving off grid soon and it's going to get some use then.

Thanks Gary! It was a fun project! I have pics showing the details of it but they were too large to load. Currently I'm building a Johnson bar and named it appropriately: Mister Johnson.

Great job!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
