New shop, finally!

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

First tractor rolled in, today, for front axle work. Loboy with a Wagner loader. Rain tomorrow, and cold, next 2 days, so I can play in the warm shop!

20 foot beam, so I can support 2 cubs, if needed, Dale.

I wonder what it sounds like in a hailstorm?

Peter, it was loud, without a hailstorm. I carpeted the floor, and that reduced the noise. When i first was setting things up, if I dropped a tool, you would hear it at your house. Might hang some carpeting on a wall, to further reduce the noise, if I find it necessary.

Looking great Ed !!!
Question: Did you anchor the beam just to the container roof or did you install reinforcing to mount it to?

Dave, it's anchored with half inch, GR8 carriage bolts, with 2 inch fender washers under the heads. 18 bolts. The beam is 3/8 inch thick, so stress is spread across the whole length, putting minimal load on each bolt.

Rob, that's about 5th on the list. Couple of years worth of maintenance and repirs to catch up on, first.
