Agree. They appear to be adware, which the iPhone is not supposed to be vulnerable to.

Nothing unusual going on with the site. Google scans it constantly for anything bad or unusual and nothing is showing from yesterday or today.

A quick search of Bing does show this appears to be an iOS and Safari issue: https://www.bing.com/search?q=safari+br ... &form=QBRE
I don't know much about iOS or Safari, but most suggestions seem to be related to clearing the browser cache...

I'll keep watching the site and the Google scans.

FYI: Always protect your computer and DO APPLY all updates for browsers, flash (if you still use it), PDF readers, operating systems, etc...

I get similar ads in my email, and I have no interest in an I phone, or any other smart phone other than selling it I have checked out a couple of them, and I guarantee, you will NOT get a free I phone from them unless it is an old junk one.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Fwiw, I have not changed anything yet, and have not yet had a single problem this evening. Fingers crossed that it stays that way!

Edit: nope. Did it again first thing this morning.

I will be curious to see if the restoration from backup has an effect.

Stopped here, but they’ll be back. Happens for a bit, then they disappear

As of 3/23 evening, I have now had two completely trouble free days on the forum. The couple days before that were really bad. Almost unusable. Forum pages were constantly getting redirected.
I have changed absolutely nothing at my end.
I still can’t prove it, but I still think the problem stemmed from a bad ad that made it into the rotation on the forum pages.
Does anybody have any further insight into this at this point?
For the people who were having this problem, are you still, or did it resolve for you, too?

Problem has disappeared, but like I said, will probably return at some point. Not the first time I’ve seen it happen. Never happened on other sites in safari, hence my belief it is something on the forum. But Dennis doesn’t see it and since I am not a ‘computer’ guy, I certainly can’t argue the point.

I have not had the issue for several days, as well. I'm with Thomas. I think it will return. Time will tell.

Still no recurrence of the ads. Fingers crossed. Wouldn't surprise me if they were reported to Amazon, and Amazon shut them down.

If you have a computer and are using Google Chrome add the Adbloker extension to it and you will be ad free while using Chrome! It is free as well.
