Dale, thanks. I did not know that. They must have kept it a secret so they won't have to honor the 20 percent discount.

Great, now I'll have to lurk around the TSC parking lot the last Tuesday of the month scouting for open-minded senior citizens, like a high schooler hanging outside the liquor store looking for someone to buy for him.

I'm a senior, but don't have a dog or a horse, and I don't need new cowboy boots. :D

I know what you mean, Don. I found this discount because I was hoping to find a good discount on a muffler for the SA I am selling, just to make it look nicer. But most of the "good deals" are on pet food and clothes!

I'd be happy to sneak stuff to you, anytime! There has to be SOME advantage of getting old! I was truly happy when I started getting the senior discount into the movies (before Netflix, etc, and the only way to see movies!).

Alvin Straight:
You don't think about getting old when you're young... you shouldn't.

Cyclist #1:
Must be something good about gettin' old?

Alvin Straight:
Well I can't imagine anything good about being blind and lame at the same time but, still at my age I've seen about all that life has to dish out. I know to separate the wheat from the chaff, and let the small stuff fall away.

Cyclist #2:
So, uh, what's the worst part about being old, Alvin?

Alvin Straight:
Well, the worst part of being old is rememberin' when you was young.

Rural King is much better. To bad they are not nationwide. I had to replace a pressure switch on one of my air compressors. Home Depot wanted $25.62 for theirs. The exact make and model number was at Rural King for $11.99.

Nuts and bolts are 40 to 50 cents cheaper per pound at RK versus TSC.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thanks Dale I wasn’t aware of this one.
I was told they’d give me a discount for being retired law enforcement but I’ve never taken advantage of that. That’s years of department policy on professional Etiquette stuck in me.
I won’t have any qualms though about pulling the age card once a month. ;)

If I read it correctly, it includes all regular priced items EXCEPT feed. And that’s probably all I would use it for. I’m cheap, usually only buy stuff on clearance

Occasionally buy their twisted wire wheels for my 4-1/2" angle grinder for stripping paint. Mainly buy 40lb bags of black oil sunflower seed. I'm going to ask if that is considered "feed" or not; I don't think it is.

I'm with you Thomas, it usually has to be on sale for me too.

For what it's worth, I checked with the manager of my local TS, and he stated that "senior's day" is only valid in Canada.

I'll probably check in at a TS in a neighboring town and see if the story is the same.

The link, in Dale's original post, no longer points to the TSC website.
