Hannah's Wedding 7/2/2022

Our middle daughter, Hannah, was married on Saturday July 2nd.
When Erik, our oldest, got married in 2016, I thought it was pretty cool. Having a daughter get married is very different, in my opinion, and not just from the financial responsibilities!

A son's a son till he takes a wife, your daughter's your daughter the rest of your life. My wife reminded me of that when our daughter got married.

Wow! Congratulation to Hannah and the whole Person family. Years ago, as father of the bride, I was told my job was to handle the three "ups." Show up, shut up, and pay up. I am continually amazed at the talent of Emily.

Interesting that you would say that. While we were doing the Father-Daughter dance, Hannah commented that she was really glad that I had been her Dad. I told her that I was still her Dad and would always be her Dad, at which point she buried her face to my chest and squeezed my hand tightly. Apparently there were quite a few wet eyes in the room based on comments later on in the evening.

Thanks Bill. She graduates end of August with a B.A. in Illustration.
I asked Emily who was going to do the portrait of her and her yet unknown groom. She wasn't to sure if it was necessary, but I told her that since she did Erik & Jenna and Hannah & David, the tradition must continue. I volunteered but told her it would most likely be stick figures! She laughed!

I remember that feeling. My daughter had the DJ play "Daddys Girl" after we started dancing. I don't think my eyes were dry!
