Don't Ask Me How I Know!!

Postby FuryIII » Thu Jan 25, 2007 8:19 pm

just a few items to put on your DAMHIK list

1. dont point at the fan blade on a running tractor if your standing really close.
2. pour gas in the tank with a funnel, while the engine is not running.
3. never asume a flopping belt is tight enough.
4. tires roll better with air in them.
5. a broken muffler will fall off.
6. when you pick it up its hot.
7. same said will also burn your foot, through your boot, when you drop it.
8. set screws are necessary.
9. battery acid burns worse than mufflers.
10. dont check your oil and then rub your eyes with the same rag.

feel free to add your own. i know im not the only one.

Disconnect the ground cable from the battery first. Install the ground cable to the battery last.

When the directions say to disconnect the battery - disconnect the battery.

Don't try to push a houseboat away from your powerboat in a chop. It's just not worth it...motor away instead.

Don't jump onto the deck of a homemade houseboat from another, higher deck - said deck *may* punch through, causing embarassment, damage, and a trapped foot

Never point a pneumatic nailing gun even slightly towards yourself assuming the nail won't penetrate the entire thickness of the 2x4 stud and then won't bounce off another stud and miss your eye by about 2 inches and go whizzing pass your head and put a nice dent in the door to the circuit breaker panel on the back wall of the garage in which you were working.
