U. S. Postal Service
With all the problems I keep hearing about the USPS I have to say I had a great experience with them this week. I sent a step to Pennsylvania on Saturday and it arrived today. Not bad for two days service over a weekend.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I USPS has gotten a lot better. I think it was a struggle during the Covid epidemic for them.

It seems to be regional, we get pretty good service here in the Columbus region. Probably very dependent on regional management and manpower.

Re: U. S. Postal Service
I’ve had instances recently where a package ordered from Amazon goes from Pittsburgh, to somewhere in IN or IL, back to Pittsburgh, then delivered here. I live two hours from Pittsburgh.

I’ve seen that too, Don, only it was Fed Ex that did it. Tracking said it was on the truck for delivery, next day it was on Kansas City. Two day later, it was on the truck for delivery, again.

Re: U. S. Postal Service
I ordered a part from Steiner which is about 70 miles at 4:00 and it was delivered about 5:00 the following afternoon by FedEx and in good condition. FedEX however remains my least favored shipper because everything seems all beat to ...that place. My favorite shipper remains UPS. USPS does ok and especially for price if you can use their prepaid box thing. As long as it gets here in a few days without having to retape the box I remain happy. Retaping can also be due to the shippers poor packing. Vern

Re: U. S. Postal Service
I like USPS because I can pay online and just walk the package out to my mailbox. USPS also now has a commercial pricing system. My last shipment went from $17.00 to $13.00.

Re: U. S. Postal Service
I guess the bottom line is that they are all inconsistent. Some things arrive the next day. Others take close to two weeks. Some things never arrive. Of course, that’s the way the entire service industry operates these days.

Re: U. S. Postal Service
I usually can't complain about the post office.....there were some minor glitches, but overall they do a good job in our area.
