July Rain

Postby Stanton » Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:41 am

After Eugene's post about it being so hot on Sunday, we've had two days with each having a 1" rainfall. Pretty good for late July. Knocked the heat back down, but of course, the humidity is full-bore!

Monday's rain was 0.9" and yesterday's registered 1.0" in my rain gauge. Last evening was one of those summer rains; the sun shining full while it was pouring down.

I'll take it. A welcome relief! :hattip:

Yep, it's raining right now. We had some pretty heavy rains last night, with a lot of thunder and lightening.

I'd love an inch of rain. We haven't had measurable rain in over 10 weeks.

We've had a couple nice showers, in the past few days, probably about 2 inches total. It's amazing how the lawn perked up!

Scattered thunderstorms around Raleigh NC yesterday afternoon and evening. 2.5 inches in my rain gauge at home this morning but most of it came in about an hour late yesterday afternoon. We are getting a nice steady rain right now. It’s going to be a wet morning tomorrow in the garden picking tomatoes and okra
