A new set of clutch brake shoes and a new grade 8 clutch brake rod installed, it seems to work like a champ! I think the issue was that my clutch brake friction material was so short that was causing the bend. Thanks for the diagnostic work, fellows!

You need two springs on that clutch rod one up front and one where the cotter pin is so it’s flexable not rigid, it has to flex or it bends.
Any flywheel rattle noise is someone installed a threaded bolt where the hd roll pin was. As the bolt wears it becomes loose on the input tranny shaft. I’m thinking about a shoulder bolt to replace the roll pin then tighten it up. Maybe some of that blue plastic they dip on worn splines will harden and cushion it.

I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
