High crop number series lowboy

Postby SamsFarm » Wed Jan 12, 2022 8:34 pm

I wonder if anyone has ever made a normal Farmall / International cub height tractor from a number series lowboy.

??? A number series highcrop!

Put some tall extended height spindles on the front with some 4x12 front rims and tires.

And rotate the final drives for maximum height, and use some 9.5x24 ag tread (R1) rears!

I would think the front axle would also need to be replaced.

Something.

Or cut the spindle tubes off of the ends and weld on taller ones like the standard Cub.

Why not just use a standard offset Cub?

Well, I have saw many do some crazy things all just for the fun of it!

It was just a thought I had.

I will probably never do that (Too much outher things I need to do), but if I had one sitting around and was severly bored.........

I have 11.2x24 ag way with new 24x10” wide rims, the 20”x10” three rib front fat tires.
It might make a high crop.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

My parts 185 is equipped with the tall skinny tires like the one in your pic. and a hi-crop just for giggles could be made without much trouble. Saw a 185 at the I & I club show many years ago that had a Ford 302 v-8 motor in it. Have NO idea how he stuffed it in there but it looked factory made to me!! --- Took a while to see it had that big motor in it.
