Hello everyone, hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving
I have my 154 pulled all apart for new paint, engine rebuild, wiring ect...
I have found and collected all of my parts mechanical as well as cosmetic for a total rebuild but i have run into a brick wall with the rear tires,
The one's i have are weather checked very bad but still hold air and work fine BUT i am putting a lot of time and money into making this thing new again and the thought of putting those tires back on when i'm done just eats at me.
Anyone on here know where i might be able to find a set of 13.6/16 turf tires, for some reason everywhere i find them they are either showing not in stock or discontinued.
Thanks for any help

Have you tried M.E. Miller tires online?

You might put a "wanted" in the Vine in case someone has a better pair they'd sell. If you find a better pair, Miller sells a tire paint that makes used tires look better.

Re: 13.6-16 Tires
Search for 13.50-16.1 or 12.4-16 tires. They are more readily available and either size should fit your rims.

Re: 13.6-16 Tires
I’ve done a little looking into those, one of my Kubota’s has that size. I have one that is slowly splitting open. I immediately dismissed the idea of new ones. I see these at swap meets, occasionally and I scored A very nice pair, at the Portland Fall swap for $60. They are off of a 154, even mounted on a nice pair of rims that I can’t use. I doubt that I’ll find a deal like that again. I’m in no hurry to swap them, having them when I need them means a good deal to me.

Re: 13.6-16 Tires
I don’t know why but some of the number series tractors had 16.1 tires, others had 16’s. I have to think that, in the case of a low speed tractor, the 16.1’s should be an acceptable replacement. I’m unsure whether the rims are actually .1 inch different. 16.1 seems like a ridiculous size, to me.

Re: 13.6-16 Tires
From what I can see online, many people run 16.1" tires on 16" rims, at low speed. However, be aware that the rim flanges can have totally different geometry, so the beads don't truly seat properly when mixing and matching. For example, the taper that the tire has to go over in order to touch the rim flange can be 5 degrees, or 15 degrees. The tire would have been molded to the proper taper for that rim size, and forcing it onto a different geometry could result in a bead failure. At higher pressures, that could be dangerous to the person airing up the tire.

Re: 13.6-16 Tires
Rick, that is very true on the 16.5, 19.5, 22.5 etc, those, we always referred to as tapered bead rims. I don’t have one to look at but I don’t think the 16.1 Cub rim is tapered in that manner. I’ll have to keep an eye out for one of those, to look at.
