Ginger

Postby Eugene » Sun Jan 17, 2016 9:34 am

Has any one planted ginger? Tips, results, worth the effort?

Thought I might try something different. Doing winter reading and planning for the 2016 garden.
I have an excuse. CRS.

In my younger days I would like to have had Ginger in my garden, but now I would not know what to do with her.

I'm more of a Mary Ann type of guy myself.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Got ginger on my big city shopping list. Will be looking for ginger with some nice sized buds. Buds suitable for sprouting.

I thank all for their insightful input on their desires to cultivate ginger, or Ginger, or Mary Ann, or Ginger Rodgers.

If you buy just from a grocery store wash real good. If you can find a store that sells organic you won't need to wash. Try to keep close to 75 degrees to get them to sprout.

Happy birthday to you.
