Headlights ?

I need to get a pair of new headlights for the lovely Debbies 08 Trailblazer. My NAPA counterman recommended purchasing online, and stressed that they be certified. Can anyone recommend an online supplier? Also the bulbs. I want to be able to see, but I don't know I want to blind oncoming drivers with aircraft landing lights like some cars I meet! Whatever happened to a good old sealed beam? I must be showing my age. I would appreciate any advice, I'm a little out of touch on the newer technology. John

Chances are, your only choice is going to be halogen. Try RockAuto to compare online prices with local.

I agree with Don, Rock will have several brands to choose from, all will include bulbs and some will even include the wiring harness. You’ll be surprised how reasonable the price is. You can also find the same ones on EBay, I’ve bought them from both sources and they have always been exactly like the Orem units. And, yes, you’re showing your age!

Thanks for the help. I just checked Rock Auto's site and figured out how to find the certified ones. I've never been a huge fan of online purchasing, preferring to use local sources, but then I refuse to use a self checkout! They don't smile back at me. John

Sometimes, the check person doesn’t smile, either! I do a lot of on line buying, the locals never seem to have what I want. It’s all on me to get the right item because returning stuff is a real pain.

I've been extremely fortunate with my local guys. To their credit, in the few instances they don't have something in their line, they don't go outside and upcharge me, but can usually recommend an outside vendor. They even have the old parts catalogs under the counter. A couple times they had three open at on time finding a part for me. Plus they get the right part the first time 99.99 % of the time!
