Garden is starting to perk up. Rained a bit on Sunday but we had 3 dry days last week and 3 dry days this week.

So far the "official" rainfall totals for July 2021 :shock: ;
Bradley International Airport - Windsor Locks, CT (20 miles west of us) = 24.4"
Windham Airport - Windham, CT (20 miles southeast of us) = 26.8"

Gee, after all that rain you got earlier, you should be good till September!

You must be sitting on a load of sand and gravel!

The heat sapped the water right out of the ground and made some of the ground as hard as concrete. Will have to take the cub off the potato digger and hook the 340 to it now so I can have the weight to pull thru the hard ground. ---No more hand diggin here!
A couple more pix., --- the cucumbers going up the arches and one of the many cabbage heads. They are half grown right now and will reach 25 pounds when full grown.
Found a couple more little peach trees about ready to pick and the rest are later varieties. Apple trees breaking down with fruit this year---I didnt get time this year to thin the fruit like I always do, so the apples will be small IF they make it. Dry weather fruit drop is on right now so most of the apples will fall off due to dry ground.

3 1/2 inches of rain, overnight, and this morning. Time to trade a cub, for a boat!

Managed to pick 3 of my rows of green beans today before the rain! :)

Picked 45.5 pounds!

Got 3 rows yet to pick! :( Now it is all muddy! :(

Got I row of sugar snap peas picked last week before the rains 3 more rows that need picked!

I hate frequent rains at harvest time!

Finally getting some much needed rain down here. Too late to do the garden much good, though.
