Drive belt life ??
How often do you wear out the mule pto belt and the mower deck belt? What’s the belt life?
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

I replace the belts, after inspection, when I work on the mower deck or remove the deck to work on the tractor.BigBill wrote:How often do you wear out the mule pto belt and the mower deck belt? What’s the belt life?
So, how long do the belts last. Unknown. Neighbor told me that he had to replace the belts twice during a mowing season. He had been purchasing the over the counter grade belts. Told the neighbor to purchase the premium grade belts. They last much longer.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Since you posted this in the Cadet section, I'll assume your question is more directed toward the cadet line.
I think that the answer is probably more related to the care the machine received. For example, a belt that sat outside its whole life has a lower lifespan than one that stays out of the sun in a garage when not in use. The number of hours the belt was in use is also a factor.
For me, If I get 5 years out of a belt, I'm pretty happy.

Changed the mower deck to another one I put new pullies on and the mower finally made it through one mowing with no belts or engine work needed. My son tuned the engine up.
I’m nursing the 12 hp so we can rebuild the 14 hp. On my cc1200, I’m going to 14hp with the creeper. I have a oem new 12hp ag that’s going in my 108/creeper/ snowthrower. Need to go through them all playing musical engines.
