I could use some input on the magneto for this thing that is a little older than me.

I have no spark from the magneto coil, the little spring wound wire from the magneto to the rotary is distorted, the magnet seems weak [ not attracted to a screwdriver very much.

? Are there any points inside ? or does the spark comes as the geared gizmo rotates around the distributer cap?

How can I determine if the magnet is strong enough, and/or can I recharge the magnet.

Any help would be appreciated
