1953 farmall super m break set
I worked on the Farmall today.I hooked up the old bush hog, never been hooked up before had to adjust the seat and I need to do something for this break, it's actually the brake set or parking brake does everybody use a coat hanger? I would like to improve on this if somebody can help. See the picture.

Never saw a coat hanger used for that. Have seen a bolt welded sticking up at the front of the lever that you catch with your heel when pressing the brake.
Now that I am getting older and less flexible, I have a L shaped seal puller, about a foot long, made out of 3/8 or so square stock with a single hook on the end that works great to lift up the latch. Just need to find an easily accessible place to mount it.
Wish I had ordered one of the toggle levers from OEM when they were still around.

Steiner Tractor Parts has a brake lock assist attachment for $70.
Even if you don't want to spend the money, you can get some ideas of what to do. There are lots of designs out there.
