BN Front wheel bearings

Has anyone changed out their BN front wheel bearings ? If so how did you get the inner bearing cone off the axle / spindel my axel in the center of it has a ridge or swage? This ridge or swage was made by the factory I can't get the bearing over it. Thanks Dave F.
