Hydraulics question
I've got like a 19 39 or 36 or 32 Farmall H. I don't remember the year. I've got a three-point hooked up on it with two hydraulic cylinders. One for each side of the three point. I'm only using the hydraulic bar attached to the Tractor. So here's what my problem is. I can pull the bar with no load on the three-point it will lift up perfectly fine it will retract perfectly fine. Depending on the weight of the load it will either only raise it a few inches or not at all. I have a brush hog it would lift about 2 in off the ground. I have a 3 point boom which lifted perfectly fine. And I have a 7 foot heavy duty blade which I could not lift at all with the 3 Point boom. Cousin tells me that it could be the hydraulic pump. I know it's vague information but I still haven't figured out how to upload pictures to this site.. I have heard something about weight limits like 500 lb for earlier models or something

Re: Hydraulics question
The early H's developed fairly low pressure (about 500 psi). It's possible that the 3-pt implements you are trying to lift are too much for the system. You could always plumb in a pressure gauge to see what your line pressure is and determine whether or not it is a problem with the pump itself.

Re: Hydraulics question
Is it the 3-point shown in this screenshot from one of your youtube videos? Or is this on a different H?

Re: Hydraulics question
Also, in one of your previous videos you mention having to refill the hydraulic oil. What kind of oil did you use?

Re: Hydraulics question
It's a double piston three-point it's another tractor that I got for like six hundred and fifty bucks. I think the double piston set up might be too much for it. Yeah the idea about the pressure gauge is a good one. I'll see if I can find one somewhere. Of course it could be my own stupidity LOL I'll see if I can upload some pictures here.

Re: Hydraulics question
You might try another You Tube video.
Pictures of the hydraulic cylinders, number of hoses connected to each cylinder, control valve set up.
Once the implement is lifted, will they hydraulic system hold it in place,or will the implement slowly sink/fall?
Could be several problem areas; control valve, leaking cylinders. Faulty hydraulic pump would be down on my list of possibilities.

I have an excuse. CRS.
