Super A Finals

Postby PoconoCub » Thu Mar 25, 2021 12:24 pm

When we bought the Super A we were told it was a Mid 50's Super A, since the seat was replaced with a Monroe Seat and no one knows what happened to the original seat with the serial plate we took them at their word.

Today I went looking for casting numbers so I could try to figure out what year it is because I am supposed to buy 2 Finals off a 55 130 from tst, but from what I can figure out the Super A is a late 47 or early 48.

So my question is will the finals from a 55 130 work on my Super A including with the current drawbar and swinging drawbar, I am sure the cultivator parts should work as they are from a 50's Super A and should work with the 55 130 finals.

130 finals will work fine. I want to say they are a little heavier but they will interchange.

Do you have Q casting codes? If so you're probably looking at an early-ish '48. There were only 81 '47 Super As built. But you never know......

Thanks Al that is Great to hear. The casting codes that I have found so far are on the transmission case 10 6 Q and on the Clutch Housing, the code is D11-20-47 (Part #351687-R1), the TC I only found the part number 350644R1 which I am going to have to replace as the rebuild kit I bought for it I now know will not work for it and I cannot find one for that part number. I found what I think is a casting number on the right final, it looks to be 12-19-QW. The Engine I know now has been changed, it is a C123 and I believe they came with a C113.
