Having difficulties getting the left final drive off my 140, it’s off the dowels, something is definitely holding it on. Any advice would be appreciated,
Thanks

Re: Final drive removal
if its off the dowels it should come off, try a bar behind it, these are a lot heavier than a cub so the weight hanging down could bind it up unless you have it supported

Re: Final drive removal
I just did this for the first time on a Super AV. I had the final drive assembly supported by shop crane/engine hoist. Couldn't budge it off for the longest time even using a prybar on the sides and from underneath. Then I took off the fender and pried from the top and it slid right off.
Good luck.
Richard
Good luck.

Re: Final drive removal
tst, think your right, it’s not resting on the brake drum because I can slide the band But I do not have it supported so it’s probably just the weight.
Mr. Finch, very good point but yes I did remove the brake linkage.
Mr. Owens, another good point but my issue is it off and away from the dowels so I’m past the part you were at.
Thanks for the answering my post I’ll get to this morning
