I would be scared about the bushings in the transmission. Maybe when they spec. Hy tran they change to a new bushing material. I may just be talking out my butt. Just my 2 cents worth.

I'm about 90% sure they didn't change anything internally in the transmission.

Re: 140 would not move in the cold like is was locked up
It got warm enough for me to change the "oil" in the transmission. It was 80-90% water when I drained it. When it froze it really had a complete lock on the whole trans.
Getting some oil in the trans solved another issue I was having. The trans took a long time to stop to put it in gear from neutral. Kept playing with the clutch adjustment. Now it is very reasonable.
This was my first winter with this 140. It ran when I got it - which is unusual for me - so i did not go over as much like I have other tractors.
Time to reread "What to do with a Cub you just brought home"

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

My 130 got locked up the first spring after I bought it.
Never force it to move!
You will break something. In my case the oil slinger gear which is made of pot metal lost a few teeth. The tranny made a lot of noise after that. Ended up replacing the gear and a total rebuild of tranny while it was apart.
So CAUTION.
If the tractor was running fine one day and the next day temps drop below freezing we tend not to think of the obvious cause .
