You might want to put some battery post sealer on those contact surfaces to help keep them from rusting again.

The stuff I have is in a spray can!

Why they used steel for the contact surfaces when they made those switches is beyond me.

They should have made them with brass!

There’s a lot of stuff that can be used, I like white lithium grease for trailer electrical plugs but CRC wire dryer spray has been my go to wire dressing lately. The ignition switch can be cleaned up but the amp gauge shows a constant charge off or on but does move a little more into the charge when running. It’s got issues so I’ll probably replace it.
