Farmall 100 water pump
I bought an after market water pump for my 100 and had the same problem one of your members had. (Smaller grooved pulley and belt rubbing on pump. So I took all the guts out and was going to put them in my old pump and everything was different. So I ordered a rebuild kit from yesterday's tractors. That ended up being junk. They didn't send the wire retainer that holds the bearing. So I made my own. But the grove that receives the wire was smaller than the original bearing. So I took it back apart and ended up destroying the crappy seal that they sent. I am so frustrated with the junk that they're selling. I have spent a lot of money on junk parts. Can someone please tell me where I can buy OEM parts so I can rebuild my pump properly?

Haven't bought one in years but the pump I bought came from NAPA. Fit fine.

I got the water pump for a 140 from Steiner. It went in fine. I had to go to napa to get the 1 3/8 id hose. You have to buy a gasket in addition to what comes with the pump. There a backing plate on the pump and you need the gaskerts on both sides of the plate.

The water pump for a 100 is very different than the one for a 140. Availability and experience with a replacement for one model may not carry over to the other.

Re: Farmall 100 water pump
Steiner does list this pump for the 100 and 130. https://www.steinertractor.com/IHS217-Water-Pump it looks like the pump on my 100.
I was commenting that Steiner had the correct pump for me and I assume the on listed for 100 will match the orginal.

Re: Farmall 100 water pump
Fine. But the water pump for the 100 has 2 cast halves that, in a proper new or rebuilt unit, are together as a complete assembly. It requires 1 gasket to bolt it to the block. The backing plate and 2 gasket situation is not applicable. Sending someone in search of a backing plate and 2 gaskets would not be helpful.

Re: Farmall 100 water pump
Jim, what I was trying to say was I had a good experence with Steiner on my 140 and that they list a water pump for the 100.
I do like to include any issues I had when I post, in this case with a 140 water pump, even if it not totally on point, so if someone comes across my post in the future on a 140, they will have a smoother go of it.

Re: Farmall 100 water pump
I bought an aftermarket water pump for my 130.
I ended up having to grind some meat off so the fan belt had enough clearance.
The angle of the flat portion on the cast tube from the rad was cast with the wrong angle.
That was very disappointing, but so far no problems since 2016.
