Planter Model Number Designation
Wondering which model number the duplex planter and side dresser is on this 140. I know there are many different models of belly mount planters for this tractor and can’t remember which one this is. Isn’t the side dresser considered a separate attachment? I know the Cub side dresser is a model 101 but not sure about the 140 version. The planter runner is with this unit but pictured on the trailer.

Or A-178 if it was Super A era. The 178 and 180 are essentially the same.

Re: Planter Model Number Designation
Thanks guys. what is the difference in the A-180 and the 1A-180? Just a revised model on the 1A I guess? Also, do these planter units carry the same model number with the type of hopper being the option?

When the model 100 came out they put a 1 in front of the model number.

Re: Planter Model Number Designation
A-180, and 1A-180 had the Combination hopper as an option. All of the paperwork I have does not show this as an option with A-178.
He is running an combination hopper drive with conversion piece to run a duplex hopper, this puts it as a A-180, 1A-180. You would need the drive sprocket with the larger tooth count for the distance tables to work right according to the manual as well.
