The rattle is quieter but still there and most noticeable while rolling backwards in reverse with the clutch depressed. The reverse gear seemed loose in comparison to the others. If that is the culprit it looked like it could be removed from the top. Could it’s shaft be worn out letting it move excessively?
Note: I just did a search for the fork rail guide on eBay. There are a couple but there all broken in the same way.
