140 blade

Postby Grampa Monkey » Sat Jul 24, 2021 2:18 am

Just purchased a blade for my 140. I think it is an A1-60. What is the flexible clevis? I can see it on the parts diagram but can’t figure out what it does. I didn’t get anything that looks like it with what I bought. I have looked for pictures online
Showing this part but can find none.

Thank You

Thanks Don. From reading that post and some other study I can see it is a float device.

Yes, it’s for those occasions when down pressure is not desired.

You lose some clearance height when you use it. Not a big deal but I think that is why you never find them with the blade set up.
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

Yes, they hang them on the barn wall and 20 years later, no one remembers what it is.
