introduction

Postby smigelski » Mon Dec 10, 2007 8:58 pm

hello, my name is Matt. I have been lurking for a few weeks. I do not own a cub, but picked up a 130 a few weeks ago. I am in the process of repainting and making look nice. I have been intrigued by these small farmalls for years. I am a firefighter/EMT for a living and farm a small amount. My father has 50 acres that I farm, plus I do another 150acres(broken up in small 10 to 30 acre lots) I started of with my dads oliver 770, then I got a john deere 4020 which got upgraded to a 4040, I also got a ford 3910. I mainly do round bales. I started off doing it for fun with an intent to make a profit, doubled my acres after the first year and again the second year getting to 200 acres. I got bigger equipment to make up time. With cost going out for equipment purchases profits went down. This has caused undo stress. So I got this 130 to bring back what I enjoy.

Howdy, welcome aboard. Great group of folks here. As for not having a Cub...I'm sure that'll change soon! ;)

Welcome aboard Matt.

Speaking of firefighting, I had to go out on a car fire this morning. Grabbed the engine and went and squirted some water.
