New Farmall H Owner
Hello. I have been into antique equipment restoration for years. I recently acquired a 1940 Farmall H from the Internation Harvester Museum (Leesburg, FL). Sadly, the owner Stew Paquette passed away this year and the family auctioned off his collection. I didn't want a piece of Florida history to go away and I always wanted an H, so we bought one. A friend of mine (T-Mo) told me about this forum, so here I am!
This forum is a little different than another I'm used to, so once I figure out the photo part, I'll post some.

Zeek, welcome to the forum. With one more post under your belt, you can access the pdf manual section and download anything you want or need.
Picture posting isn't too hard here, as long as you keep it underneath the size limits.
As I mentioned on RS, the H is probably my favorite Farmall/IH tractor. They're about the right size for most uses. There are plenty of H's out there, so parts are pretty easy to get if you need a part or two.
Enjoy your tractor and this forum. There are some very knowledgable guys here on Farmalls.

Good looking H for sure. I wanted to go down to the museum when it was open, but never had the chance. There was a Farmall museum in Iowa also that auctioned off it's stuff a couple of years ago. These museums are quickly disappearing due to several reasons, death, retirement, etc.
Have fun with that H, you will definitely enjoy it (if you get it away from your wife).

That’s a great looking “H”! But that’s no surprise, he had lots of great looking equipment.

Welcome to the Forum, Zeek! I moved your thread to the Introduce Yourself section, but there's still a shadow link where you created it in the Farmall H section. Congratulations on getting a new-to-you H. I had an H for a time and sold it, but it was a great tractor. If you're interested in my makeover, the link to the thread is here: http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=176&t=81471&hilit=Farmall+H#p652090
When you have some time, read through a few threads to acquaint yourself with the Forum:
Now that you’ve logged your 2nd post on the Forum, you'll have access to the all the PDF Manuals on this site. There’s a few ways to do that:
You'll be able to download an Owner's Manual, Parts Manual, and any other manuals that interest you.
There are annual gatherings around the country where tractor lovers (particularly Cub owners) attend to meet other people on this Forum, learn about Cub/tractor repair, and enjoy great food. They're called CubFests. The CubFest calendar and some more info about what a CubFest is all about is located here: CubFest and Tractor Show Announcements

- You can also go to “Cub Info” in the upper toolbar, then hit “Rudi’s Manuals”. From there, you can access a variety of information.
- If you're using a phone, go to the "Links Directory" (second category down the main page). Once in "Links Directory" , scroll down to the second section "Tractor Parts & Manuals" and you'll find them there.

- Pictures are limited to 500 KB file size. Use an image reducer app or program to downsize pics before trying to upload or attach them to your post.
- When you have a specific question, start a new thread in the appropriate sub-forum, like you did with posting in the "Farmall H, HV, Super H, 300 & 350" section.
- Before posting, use the Preview button before hitting Submit--it'll show you exactly what your post will look like, including pictures.
- When making a comment or asking a question in an existing thread, be sure to look at the date of the last poster. If it’s more than a 6 months old, the posters are probably not going to see it. Consider starting a new thread.
Glad you joined us.

Re: New Farmall H Owner
Hello and welcome. You are making me feel old! I have more seat time on an H than anything else. It was a 1939 model and most of my time was in the 1950's. An H will do a lot of jobs although for plowing, disking and dragging the M was better. I think what I liked to do most with the H was mow hay with a semi mounted mower. Didn't like bailing it however. The H will run a pto baler quite well. I won't say what kind here but it was one of those green things with yaller wheels. Again welcome and enjoy your H. Most people here have tractors other than their cubs, I have an International 404. Vern

Re: New Farmall H Owner
Welcome aboard Zeek, glad to see another familiar name around here. You will find this place quite helpful, lots of very knowledgeable Farmall guys here, much like you are already used to over at RS. Beautiful H you have there, they are great tractors. I just bought one a month or so ago myself, been working to get it back up to snuff.
