In southern WV as a 7 yer old kid I first crawled into the seat of Dad's 1949 cub. They have held a place in my heart ever since but i didnt actually own one until about 3 years ago at 44 years of age when he and I bought a1973 international that needed pretty much everythingto be workable again. it came with snowplow, 42 inch woods belly mower and a worn out sickle bar. $2000 in tires and $800 in paint and parts it ran good with a newly coated gas tanlk and all new ignition. Daisy.
They are Herd animals and are not happy without friends to play with so soon I introduced a 1971 with 59 inch woods finish mowed, it had been gone over and only needed new emblems. Buttercup

Same week I got Buttercup I bought a 56 from local junk yard with a locked up motor - it lives in my front yard and doesnt have a name - its a donor tractor.

Soon I found an $1100 bare bones 50 not demo cub. With plans for lots of white pin stripes planned i coined this one Poinsetta. She got a new carb & wheel weights and oil filter bolt and cylender from the donor machine. Also heavy tire chains and Daisy's snowplow.

Since then I dropped major coinage on a 1957 with a sickle bar mower. Hyacynth she got the sediment bowl from the donor.

About that time Dad who had been helping and keeping these tractors in his sheds Went to start Daisy from the side but didnt do the handshake and she jumped out of her tracks and down through his hillside Pasture in second gear taking out 2 softbass sized trees before flopping upside down in a road below his house. It took all the kings horses and all the kings men and about 7 weeks to get Daisy put back together again.

I also bought another 1950 (not demo) about the same time and it had been sitting out for decades - motor was stuck and manifold rusted into pieces. But I have since popped the head got her t o turn over and got a chinesium carb and new ignition parts and am real close to having her start again. Donor cub gave up manifold. Im thinking of a name for this rusty crusty old cub. It is set up for a two way plow and Im leaning towards the name Violet with a two tone robins egg blue (wheels and fenders) and white( wheel weights and hood) paint job - should look sharp with navy blue plow and hardware. _ but then whoever heard of a White 1950 cub?

After you’ve logged your 2nd post on the Forum, you'll have access to the all the PDF Manuals on this site. There’s a few ways to do that:

• From a desktop or laptop, go to "Quick Links" in the upper left corner of your screen. Hit that and a pull-down appears where you'll find "PDF Manuals".
• You can also go to “Cub Info” in the upper toolbar, then hit “Rudi’s Manuals”. From there, you can access a variety of information.
• If you're using a phone, go to the "Links Directory" (second category down the main page). Once in "Links Directory" , scroll down to the second section "Tractor Parts & Manuals" and you'll find them there.

You'll be able to download an Owner's Manual (very strongly recommended for maintenance and understanding your Cub) and any service or parts manuals that interest you. Implement Manuals are also available.

Speaking of Cub repair, one of the best places to learn about and repair your Cub is at a CubFest. These are annual gatherings around the country where Cub owners attend to meet other Cubbers, learn about Cub repair, and enjoy great food. Reading about your dad’s accident, we’re all reminded how quick things can happen. Glad he was not injured. We’d encourage you to take the Safety Test located in the Safety Forum: Circle of Safety Test and Profile Badge
