Howdy Folks,
I’ve been lurking for a while, lots of good folks here and great info!
Picked up a sweet little 53 Cub for my wife this past winter. It was restored maybe 20 years ago? Anyways, looked good and runs like a sewing machine! Gas tank was super rusty so had it flushed and sealed, and then a friend of mine re-paint it. We split the front off last weekend to replace radiator hoses and front crankshaft seal, which were all leaking a little. I made a puller according to designs posted here. But I used half inch plate and all thread vs three quarters because it’s what I had around. Wow, it was probably barely strong enough! That pulley didn’t come off easy! I sure hope it goes back on a little easier…. I’ll post when it’s all back together. Thanks to everyone and happy to be part of the Cub family!
PS, can’t figure out how to attach pictures

This is the easiest way I've seen for reinstalling the front pulley:

And a big WELCOME to the forum!! :hattip:
Make another post and you'll have access to all the free manuals available here. The HOW TO section is full of great info...if you haven't already, check it out.

I could not say tractor when I was 2 years old so I called it Err Err.

I loved this tractor then and I still love it now.

Hi PW,
Just so you know you can now access the repair and parts manuals as PDF files. Others can explain easy way to get to em. I just click till I get there but explaining it is like me explaining dirt back roads to that sweet fishing hole, turn when you see the black bull on the hill. LOL
