New to group, not tractors.
I'm a 1963 model just like my current winter project (17705 J ) '63 square nose. I've been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to work on old stuff since I could hold a wrench. I am in central Va. with my very understanding and patient wife who along with our Boxer often wonder what that loud noise was. I have a problem with not being able to stay focused on the original task at hand. A prime example is my current situation. They called for weather two weeks ago. Being from Upstate N.Y. I figured it would be a good time to "chain up" and do some PM. I noticed the lights still didn't work and said this is the year LOL. This resulted in a complete rewiring including switches, fuse holder. relocating the pos. gnd. to the seat frame VR and amp meter.. Well that required taking off the sheet metal which is now being sanded down to bare metal for paint .As we all know you can't put shiny new sheet metal on and old yellow tractor....

Thanks, I'm glad I stumbled cross this group. I've already learned a bunch, so I figured it was time to enter the party.

Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of Cub info in this group.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Now you've done it!!
You took the darn hood off!! Now begins the "while I'm doing this, I might as well..."!!
But have fun with it. And when you're done with that one, it'll be time for your next!
