I'm new to the forum and really glad I found it. Here's my recent tractor experience..... Last month my son and I decided to bring our '49 Cub and '41 B back to life. I had a deal with my son that if all eight tires hold air, we'll get them both running, well they all held air! The B was outside for about 25 of the 40 years I've owned it. The engine was stuck but we got it running that same day. Its cleaned up with a nice patina and it is the fastest starting engine I have ever been around ... with the starter or the hand crank. It won't live outside anymore. The Cub I've also had for decades but it was in a closed shed for the last 25 years. It's amazing the difference of a machine kept outside with no protection other than a rain flap on a rusty old muffler, and a machine that's been kept in the dry for at least 25 years. We pulled it out and drug it to my shop and we got it running on the 2nd day. It always had a woods belly mower on it. We got a present on the day we pulled the B out..there was part of a IH 22 sickle mower sticking out of the ground. I don't know how i got it or where I got it from but every single piece was there except for the rotten pittman arm, which was easy to find on line. We freed it up and stripped it to bare metal and gave it an "implement blue" paint job. It's all mounted up with every piece except the pto output shaft pulley. I've found that a lot of tractor people need that same pulley. My son and I both have a memory of that pulley laying somewhere but we can't find it. One will turn up...were going to the yearly "Old Time Days" in nearby Fawn Grove Pennsylvania. We live in Harford County Maryland just on the south side of the PA line. So that's the story, I go by Sage and have really enjoyed the forum over the last month or so that I've been a member. The site is huge and the information is endless. I really appreciate those who keep it going and the members with there knowledge.

Welcome to the Forum, Sage! Glad to hear you had such success with starting both tractors.
Take some time and read through a few threads to acquaint yourself with the Forum:

Don't know if you have any of the manuals to your Cub or the B, but after your 2nd post on the Forum, you'll have access to the all the PDF Manuals on this site. There’s a few ways to do that:
- From a desktop or laptop, go to "Quick Links" in the upper left corner of your screen. Hit that and a pull-down appears where you'll find "PDF Manuals".
- You can also go to “Cub Info” in the upper toolbar, then hit “Rudi’s Manuals”. From there, you can access a variety of information.
- If you're using a phone, go to the "Links Directory" (second category down the main page). Once in "Links Directory" , scroll down to the second section "Tractor Parts & Manuals" and you'll find them there.
Owner's, service, and implement manuals are available.

Welcome to the forum. I have a couple of Cubs and a 1946 B. There are lots of resources on here for both. Note that you can download the manual and parts list on here for the Farmall A which covers the B as well.

Re: New member to the forum
Yes indeed, welcome to the forum!
Here is what I found cleaning up my Woods mower beneath the black paint:
I added the wheel, as the (expensive) skid was missing, plus it favors the right side of the deck - may have had an accident at some point?
I like the original look of the woods yellow paint (and decal) but I'm keeping it black for convenience’ sake.
This forum is like having an "Easy Button" if you are having difficulty finding answers, I've gotten plenty of help here!
