RAYMORE, Mo. — Joan Renee (Fordham) Raney, 64, of Raymore, Mo., passed away Friday, June 30, 2017.

Born Jan. 7, 1953, in Princeton, the daughter of Marvin and Verla (Teske) Fordham, she married Daniel C. Raney on Feb. 8, 1992, in Missouri. He survives.

She graduated from Geneseo High School in Geneseo in 1971. From there she went to Sterling School of Beauty Culture in Sterling to become a hair stylist. She was a half owner of a beauty shop in Galva for several years. She also worked for many years at D Thomas & Associates, Kansas City, from which she retired in 2015.

Also surviving are one brother, Kenneth (Deborah) Fordham of Eldridge, Iowa; three aunts; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manlius, IL.
