1997 Scotts that mows Vietnam Veteran's Park
After I retired I needed something to do so I volunteered to do something for the Town's Recreation Department. I was asked to mow and maintain the area around the Vietnam Veterans monument area which is something I am proud to do. This old Scotts comes eagerly to work, and only complains if she runs out of gas.
The Silverado is a half ton 2003 with 138k. It towed my Cub home from 70 miles away without a whimper. She's a keeper too!

Thank you for helping your community and keeping a great monument beautiful. I know the veterans appreciate your work too.
Nice setup too! You know when you have a good vehicle and you keep them for a long time

I believe you are right that John Deere built it, but it is branded as a Scotts. Mine is a Model 42561x8a, and according to Tractordata.com; this model was built for Scotts from 1992 until 2002. JD built them for Scotts, as did some other manufacturers.
As far as my rig goes; Heck, I can buy a brand new truck, trailer, or tractor anytime I feel like it. This is what works for me right now, and it will work for years to come with some oil and grease.

Anyway, I'm proud to be doing my little bit for the Vietnam Vets. I served in the Army from '72 to '74, so I missed Vietnam. I have a ton of respect for those who served in Vietnam, and of course all U.S. and Allied vets everywhere.
