Should this be used with touch control

I picked this up at auction. Should the spring be used with touch control? I know the manual lift has it. Thanks for any input.

I believe from another post on planters it was mentioned that there was a helper spring available.

What you have might be the helper spring for use with the 2 row A-Cub 201 planter

It also looks like you have the pully on your PTO shaft for the 22 sickle bar mower

I have that spring on my T/C. It does help with the lift.
