Smaller tires are much harder to mount than large tires. Tight radius makes it hard to mount them.

Bolt that manual tire machine down securely. It took 4 of the Cubber's to hold down the work bench while I wrenched on some tires for Gary Dotson using one

Really good point...I bolt mine to a 4x4 sheet of plywood and slip the far edge under the 3020 tire because ya gotta really push down.

Thanks for the help, Andy! Those little buggers were fighters! 10 ply, on 10” rim, we had them on Bill’s bench mount changer but spoons and vice grips were the order of the day. I had intended to have the tire shop mount them but Bill wanted to see if his changer was up to the task. Not really!

Yeah, my bench top changer wasn't really up to the challenge of those 10 plies Gary had.

Gary used one of the forks on the Kubota to break the bead.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I use a loader or backhoe to break the beads. Even tough with that method, if the tire has been on for 40 yers.

Whether I think I need them or not, I plan to bring my good tire spoons and bead breakers to next years bash.

You wouldn't think it woth the way I cuss out those tires but I actually enjoy the farm tire work I do
