Best resource to find implements?

Postby Electronrider » Wed Jun 08, 2022 7:27 am

I am starting the search for a few implements for my '52 Cub. I'm looking for a plow, cultivators, a disk, and a Howard rotovator. I am searching craigslist, but does anyone have suggestions on where to look for these? I am in Indiana, trying to stick to the Midwest. Thanks!

I have resorted to buying a whole tractor with implements package deal to get implements!

Sometimes your geographic area makes a big difference in availability.

With the Howard Rotovator you will also need the speed reducer for the rear axle.

Fast Hitch version came out first and is Model L28-A.
Drawbar version is Model L28-B.
Speed Reducer is CD6.

Under Quick Links click on PDF Manuals.
Click on "OEM Implement and Attachment Manuals and Brochures".
Click on "Howard Rotovator".

These are some of the PDF's to look at.
Howard Rotavator News Sheet (dated February 1959) describes the two (2) versions.

I think patience is key also . I never thought I would ever have a double gang disk , now I own 2 . I only came across only 2 and I bought them . I have a number of cultivators and a 474 planter .with a small list of other implements. My dad always said the time to buy is when you find it. I'm always looking ,

Mine does have the speed reducer on it. My Father and I didn't realize that there was a speed reducer on it when we bought it many years ago, or we would have looked harder around the place we got it from for a rotovator.

Also try searchtempest.com. You can put in what you want and how far you will travel. It will search craigslist, marketplace and ebay. Vern
