I got back to this today. I got a bad case of " While the hood is off...."

I used the 5/16 ferrule from Parker PN #60PT-5. Both the sediment bowl and the carb sealed on the first go. Also, I did not feel like I was going to break something like I do when I was working with the one-piece fitting. I could turn the fitting without muscling it.

This is going to be my standard going forward.
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!
