Note that it is a chronological list. No indication of how they determined "most popular".

Interesting. First thing I noticed is that they portray the Cub in B/W, while the modern tractor in color. Like they couldn't find a color pic of a Farmall Cub anywhere?

That Cub may very well still be running long after that JD tractor has bit the dust. At least there's no software infringement or computer company software rights to worry about on the Cub.

Well, the Cub is of the black and white era.

And the Deere is of the color era.

How they last is relative to what care they get.

And parts availability down the road.

The 3720 Deere in the picture is a pre emissions tractor, but it was a hydrostat only model. The 3120, 3320, and 3520 was available in a gear drive 12/12 trans.

Same deal with the Deere 4120, 4320, 4520, available as hydrostat or 12/12 gear trans, but the 4720 was hydrostat only as well.

I will place my money on a gear drive diesel tractor logging more hours than a gasoline tractor with equal care!

If only these Cubs had a hour meter!
