Radiator overflow tube

Postby gdillon » Fri Feb 11, 2022 7:34 pm

The alternator belt on my 58 cub shredded today so in the process of getting the main belt loose I noticed the radiator overflow tube has came loose. I am hoping that I will not have to remove the radiator to have it repaired. Have any of you had to deal with this? I have very little experience at soldering copper, was wondering if it could be JB welded or anything else. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Okay I just found another post with this problem. I think I will try the 5 cent fix they described.

I bought the stuff for the 5 cent fix but I am not sure where I put it at this point. I probably need to buy it again and actually do it this time
