Hello,
Just wondered if any one knows what year the rear flashing light was put on Cubs.
I was down at Dad's tractors yesterday. I noticed his Yellow 75 cub has the rear flashing light on the left rear fender, but the 1964 does not.
So is the one missing from his Red 1964 or was it never there.
The 75 is pretty original, and is a pretty well preserved old tractor. The 64 has been painted and fixed up, so its possible that the light has gone missing over the years..
Thanks for the help.

Re: Rear blinking light
Parts manual shows 227701 as the earliest it was installed, some time in 1966.
That is if I am reading the parts manual correctly.
I looked at the data base just to make sure and it shows 227701 as starting point.

Re: Rear blinking light
Good question. A 1965 brochure lists "2 front, combination-rear lights" as standard equipment. A 1966 brochure lists "LIGHTS--2 front, 1 red rear, 1 flashing rear" as optional features. A combination rear light was also listed as a separate optional item. It is unclear what exactly was optional in 1966. However, it seems fairly clear that is when the flashing light was available (or maybe some time during '66??). Some later brochures clearly show the everything but the combo light as standard with it optional.
