Hello,

I am wanting to add a step to my Cub, A and Super A does anyone have specs for one? Maybe I would buy one if priced right.

Thanks

Not sure if this will help or not..

As Dad got older, and needed help getting on board... He turned the U shaped draw bar around, backward, and bolted it to the front holes in the final drive..
He then made a step, using a piece of 1/2 inch thick plate stock about 8 inches wide, and 12 inches long, and drilled a couple holes in it.
This plate was then bolted on the draw bar in the curved area, and it made a pretty good step, about 12 inches high right at the front of the rear wheel.
The straight draw bar was moved to the rear of the tractor to pull what ever he happened to be hauling.

Sorry no pictures.. I can never get them to post even if I had one.. :D

This forum is not very picture friendly, you have to have taken them on a flip phone or either downsize the heck out of them to post here.

I made steps for all my tractors. I used a heavy piece of angle iron and bolted it to the final drive. If you have access to a welder and some steel it’s not too hard to make one. This one on my cub is all from stuff I had laying around.

The photo above is similar to the step I made for my Cub. I added a strap to hang some garden tractor suitcase weights on as well.

For the Cub, check with Barnyard, see if he has any, on hand, that hook over the brake pedal shaft. I have one of those on Cubota, it works nice and is very portable. My other two Cubs have steps similar to those posted above. They work fine but don’t play well with some implements. Others will have suggestions for the other tractors.

I have one of Barnyards. It replaced the Steiner one I had that bounced off and disappeared in a field. Its heavy enough to stay put but if I need to temporarily take it off its a one hand job.
