Sidedresser Drive Gear Cub versus 140

Postby 1978cub » Thu Dec 23, 2021 8:51 pm

Does anyone know if the side-dresser drive gear for a cub has the same bore as a 140 gear? I have a drive gear that has the same bore as a 140 drive gear but is quite a bit smaller in diameter(Fewer teeth) and I am wondering if it is the correct one for a cub? Thanks

I don't think the 140 and Cub drive gears are even similar. The Cub gears are held on by a cap screw into the end of the axle shaft. As far as I know, the 140 gears are like the Super A with a cross pin holding them on a tubular extension of the axle.

What Jim said. They are completely different. The Super A--140 gears are the same.

They make a couple of different drive gears for the Cub.
