Hi,
You didn't say which color you want to paint the Cub.
It may have been a Demonstrator Cub when it was new, which were mostly white.
I posted a picture of one on here before.

I see some of the parts in your pics have some red paint.

You didn't say if the white paint is the first paint on the metal, or the red is the first paint on the metal.
The white paint is the first paint on the Demonstrator, except for I think there may be primer on some of the parts, under the paint.
Also, some of the parts on the Demonstrator are red, like in the pic I posted. :)

The white demonstrator program was (from any information I have seen) purely a USA/Canada marketing program. It seems highly unlikely that any white tractor would have made it into the export market beyond Canada. I suppose a used tractor could have been shipped to Brazil.

Hi,
Thanks for saying Jim.
I didn't know that.

Below is his video from page 2 of this post.
It looks like the Cub has white paint in places, unless it is because of the acid he used for cleaning it, I can't tell in pics.

My post is below his first video on page 2.

It looks to me more like it was slowly being taken over by lichens.

I could not say tractor when I was 2 years old so I called it Err Err.

I loved this tractor then and I still love it now.

I thought that it was kinda strong smelling if it works that good.
Thanks for all of your information about that stuff.
I think I might have to check on it.

I would bet that it would be much cheaper if you don't already own the acid to go the electrolysis route vs the acid method.

That is kinda what I have been thinking. It looks like a great idea but it would be pricey to get started.
