I I instaled my new radiator and the dog legs will not fit by 1/4 of an inch. I think I could push down pretty hard on the hood to make it big but is this okay. is the hood supposed to be this tight against the radiator.
Thank you Billy

No, the hood should not touch the radiator, it should be supported by the tabs on the front of the hood which are bolted to the radiator side supports. What brand radiator is this?

Re: Radiator too tall for a hood to fit
Hi Billy , have you got the original radiator to compare the new one too ?
I've read where the radiator cap sometimes sat too low and didn't clear the hood
My new Clancy wouldn't fit within the radiator support brackets as the bottom edge of the top tank was lower.
I just don't know why repros can't be made within tolerance when they got to all the trouble in the first place

Cripes - I thought I'd never get one.
